How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

Making change with hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy Helps Make Subconscious Change

If you’ve ever asked yourself how does Hypnotherapy work, you will find some of the answers here, and in other places on the site. It’s one of the earlier trainings I took, and is probably one of the best known alternate therapy treatments.  Although some people still believe it is about mind-control, the truth about hypnosis is that you don’t go anywhere, you don’t lose control and you can open your eyes any time. However, it is relaxing.

The mind is thought to operate on a ratio of:

95% – subconscious and 5% conscious

When you see that statistic it makes you question how you can get the mind to behave itself.

This means it’s up to you in how you decide what you want so you can go for it … because it’s an out-and-out myth to believe that someone or something outside of yourself is in charge of your life and has decided your fate.

Once you accept that you’re freer to believe that there’s nothing to stop you but you, and the sky’s the limit where learning how to take the reigns is often the first step.

I trained in Advanced Hypnotherapy at the Atkinson Ball College of Hypnotherapy. with Cherith Powell and Greg Forde at Regents College in London (2006).

Hypnosis has been around for over a hundred years, and been more commonly recognised in the UK since the 1960’s.

The process is simple and relaxing where you can hear everything being said and works to auto-suggest what you want instead of what you don’t want.

Hypnosis works by quietening the chattering conscious mind, in order to work directly with the subconscious mind and make change at the deeper level where it changes the neural pathways that connect the brain to the nervous system.

What Do You Want To Be Different?

What do you want to be different, what have you had enough of, hypnosis will help you change what you don’t want by getting all parts of your mind on-board, so you can move forward in a far more improved and productive manner and get far more out of life.

What if you could stop smoking, lose weight, change jobs, give that presentation, take a flight, overcome fear and a host of other things? How good would it feel?
